“We’re unsure how to arrange and decorate the space. We’d like to be able to have sitting-down conversations (5-8 people), standing parties (move around easily), decorate easily for holidays, and have a usable entryway (purse, shoes, clothes, etc.).”

New: rug, curtains, side tables, paint colors, perhaps another chair or ottoman.
Would a coffee table crowd the room too much? We need places for people to put their drinks!
Please keep these current pieces in the design: Dining Table, Couch, black Ikea Bissa shoe storage (2-3 units).
One of our windows looks into the garage. We would like it to disappear into the wall, hidden, since no light comes through.
