ALEX CHEATWOOD, C.I,D.

In 2020, I started Cheat Sheet Design to help people curate their homes into functional spaces that reflected their style in a time of absolute chaos. The world was chaos; being an event planner/decorator/florist during a pandemic was chaos, my overload of ideas was chaos, and starting a business at 27 was chaos, but my need to help people in the only way I knew how, visually, kept me in calm(ish).

It’s 2024, and I’ve turned chaos into clarity.

  1. We start with a space plan.

  2. I share the furniture measurements so you know what to look for when shopping.

  3. If you want product sourcing and a concept visual so you can purchase from your product list and install, we can do that too.

Cheat Sheet Design is for YOU. It’s not for social media photos or for selling random home decor; it’s for YOU to have the tools many in my profession keep secret. I want to empower you to shop vintage pieces, snag that marketplace find with confidence, go to ANY secondhand store, and find the treasure you’re after. Nothing wrong with traditional retail - I share my favorites from those sites, too - but if you’ve been turned off by conventional interior design in the past, know there are cost-effective, approachable alternatives.

As a Space Planner and Certified Interior Decorator, I’m not knockin’ down your walls; I’m helping you make your current space functional and feel like a reflection of you.
